	Thursday 18 November 2010 11 humpback whales spotted on our morning TEKIN III cruise with one mother and calf sighted within minutes of our departure. Most of the whales were very active putting on a spectacular show for all. 6 Humpback whales spotted on our afternoon TEKIN III cruise all were very active sighted over near long nose point and some were near Callala bay, all on board had up close and personal encounters. 	Wednesday 17 November 2010 4 whales and 25 dolphins seen, without leaving the wharf !!! As we were walking to work we watched a mother and calf Humpback breaching at Huskisson rock island whist another mother and calf rested and watched closely. 	Tuesdayy 16 November 2010 Bottlenose dolphins were feeding at the entrance top Currambene Creek and set the tone for a great day. A total of 4 Humpbacks whales were seen as pairs of mother and calf’s. Our initial sighting was at Plantation Point and the second pair found sheltered in dead calm water at Murrays Beach , this was finished off with yet another viewing of our dolphins at Mooney Creek. 	Friday 13 November 2010 EXTREME What a cruise – 2 Humpback whales sighted inside the bay and 2 outside the heads also seen were our resident Bottlenose Dolphins at Callala Bay , customers on board were also lucky enough to go the seal colony at the drum and drum sticks. 	Wednesday 11 November 2010 2 whales and Bottlenose dolphins . A restful mother and her new born Humpback Whale were viewed near Long Nose Point just inside Jervis Bay in nice calm sunny conditions. Our cruise further explored our beautiful Jervis Bay and found a large group of our Bottlenose Dolphins feeding on schooling fish. 	Tuesday 9 November 2010 8 whales sighted just off Point Perpendicular on our whale watching cruise this afternoon. Passengers on board Tekin III and Extreme had fantastic viewings of whales breaching and tail slapping. We also saw a hammerhead shark, penguins and 50 bottlenose dolphins. 	Saturday 6 November 2010 AM cruise - 2 Humpbacks just wide of Bowen Island. Fairly docile activity. Perhaps we are now getting down to some of the stragglers of the southern migration. Our spotters up north tell us that there are still whales leaving hervey Bay so that should mean that we have another 3-4 weeks of viewing. PM cruise - A total of 7 whales seen with the highlight being a group of 3 whales well INSIDE Jervis Bay at Plantation Point. 	Tuesday 26 October 2010 The Spirit of Jervis Bay - 8 whales - On both cruises we started the day seeing our resident dolphins and then we found the whales. Initially a passive viewing until a mother seems to let her calf off the leash. A calf swam around 'The Spirit' and also under the boat to the amazement of our clients. Oh yeh lets also add seeing seals and a few small sharks on the cruise - what a day. It’s a special time in Jervis Bay, simply expect the unexpected and let nature do the talking. I think the sea breeze on top of the water has them very very frisky. What a great morning. 	Tuesday 19 October 2010 8 whales after just 5 minutes of cruising! A mother and her new calf greeted us just 1 minute from Huskisson and within a long arms length our passengers could see a further 6 whales around the same area. I just wonder how many are in the Bay today? Will continue our cruise and keep you updated during the day. 7 whales in total on our afternoon cruise on The Spirit of Jervis Bay. Lots of acrobatics were seen by all on board, more whales were sighted around the bay in the distance, not many places inside the bay where there aren’t any whales at the moment. 	Thursday 14 October 2010 33 WHALES SIGHTED TODAY - ALL RIGHT INSIDE THE SHELTERED WATERS OF JERVIS BAY WOW- perfect cruising conditions today and to top it off a total of 21 whales sighted inside the bay this morning on board THE SPIIRT OF JERVIS BAY. All were mothers and calves using the beautiful waters of jervis bay to have a rest form their migration south. On board ECO EXTREME this afternoon total of 12 Whales were seen inside the bay. 	Wednesday 13 October 2010 10 HUMPBACK WHALES and approx 400 common dolphins were sighted on our morning TEKIN III cruise, all whales were spotted inside the bay. The dolphins were located just at the entrance to the bay. A very large Mother and calf in the group delighted all on board with a tandem breach very close to the boat, they were a very curious pair taking a close look at our passengers. 4 HUMPBACK WHALES and approx 70-80 common dolphins whales were inside the bay and very active, lots of breaching and tail slapping, they are obviously enjoying their visit to Jervis Bay. 	Thursday 7 October 2010 Spirit of Jervis Bay - 5 Humpbacks on a cold over cast day, but the best cruise of the week. The clients of Tekin III watched a Humpback calf breaching for 45 minutes whilst the mother carefully stood by watching. Sightings were near Bowen Island and also well inside Jervis Bay. Eco Extreme - 5 Humpbacks and the very best ever display of these powerful but peaceful creatures. Can you image a 35 tonne mother Humpback teaching her calf to breach, spy hop and lunge in Jervis Bay. It was like a training session on just how to be a whale. 	Wednesday 6 October 2010 Spirit of Jervis Bay - 7 Humpbacks whales and also 30 Bottle Nose Dolphins . All our wonderful wildlife was found either side of Bowen Island. 	Tuesday 5 October 2010 PM On board the Spirit of Jervis Bay customers saw 5 Humpbacks including a very white calf. Is it the “Son of Migaloo”. The calf had just the slightest of black streaks on its back seen playing in Jervis Bay with its mum. A great sunny day with light summer sea breezes. . 	Friday 24 September 2010 We saw 'every whale in the ocean today' was the quote of one of our Extreme clients. On our way across Jervis Bay we saw a mother and calf Southern Right Whale. The viewing in total was a total of 6 Humpback whales, estimated 300 common dolphins and the seal colony with approx 100 seals, and of course, then add about 20 resident bottlenose dolphins back inside Jervis Bay. 	Tuesday 21 September 2010 3 Humpback whales, approx 300 common dolphins, a large group of seals, albatross and gannets entertained our EXTREME clients feeding on a large bait ball just wide of Point Perpendicular. 	Monday 20 September 2010 4 -5 Humpbacks spotted just a few miles off Point Perpendicular. The whales got up close and very personal, Whales performed several breaches and lots of tail slapping to the delight of everyone on board. A large pod of approx 200 common dolphins were also spotted. Several more whales were sighted further out to sea. The season is only getting better ! 	Sunday 19 September 2010 Another fantastic day of whale watching on Jervis Bay. All on board The Spirit of Jervis Bay this morning were delighted to view 2 humpbacks just a few miles out off Pt Perpendicular, and to their surprise there were 2 more right under the boat! Eco Extreme had an interesting morning with an awesome display by 4 Humpbacks just off Bowen Island! These whales gave all on board a real eye full. They lulled around the boat spy hopping, with the baby coming right over to check them out! This afternoon was no different for those on board ECO EXTREME as they found another 3 Humpbacks doin their stuff just out off Bowen Island again. There was a mother, Juvenile & calf. They showed us some pectoral fin slapping & came up close to check us out. To top off the whole Extreme experience we saw a magnificent viewing of around 80 of our resident Bottle Nose Dolphins. 	Saturday 18 September 2010 Great start to the day today on our 9;30am cruise onboard The Spirit of Jervis Bay. Our first sighting was a Humpback Whale just inside the heads at Point Perpendicular. This was followed by a wonderful viewing of a mother & her calf just off Plantation Point, inside the bay. Our newest vessel ECO EXTREME was next to cruise out at 10:30am.All on board had a magnificent time! 3 Humpback Whales & plenty of wildlife!.. 	Friday 17 September 2010 5 Humpbacks adult whales sighted up close today. Another 3-4 spotted further out. Passengers also saw two very large inquisitive seals and several dolphins. 	Thursday 16 September 2010 8 humpback whales sighted today all inside the bay! All passengers on board The Spirit of Jervis Bay had amazing experiences. We also had an afternoon cruise on EXTREME where 7 humpbacks we spotted and passengers got a up close look (and smell) of a whale mouth, an experience not to be missed. 	Wednesday 25 August 2010 2 Humpback whales, a mother and juvenile playing approximately 1.5 miles wide of Jervis Bay. Windy conditions seemed to excited the whales,the juvenile put on a display of Pectroal fin slapping, tail fin slapping and breaching, too much sugar I think! 	Wednesday 25 August 2010 - Extreme Report The small lone Humpback we have ever seen was slowly heading slowly past Crocodile Head… was it a calf or was it a juvenile and where was its mother. All these questions were raised and discussed amongst our EXTREME passengers. We wish the little Humpback a safe journey home. Over and above we visited 2 seal colonies, smelt the seals , a smell you will never forget, we also saw a perfect example of bait balling. Seals encircled a school of fish on the surface and selectively took turns in feeding on the fish whilst Albatross and enjoyed the feeding frenzy. 	Friday 20 August 2010 A Southern Right whale still finding refuge peacefully at HMAS Creswell. A group of elusive Humpbacks at Long Nose Point and then a breaching whale at Plantation Point, right inside Jervis Bay. A very mixed cruise with all sorts of weird and wonderful things happening. It’s interesting also to note during the week we have seen some Humpbacks heading north, the stragglers of the Northern migration but the majority are heading South the early birds of the Southern migration. Of course we should not forget the wonderful sighting of our newborn Southern Right and mum at Hyams Beach early this week. We do hope she and her calf have a safe journey home. 	Wednesday 18 August 2010 Another fabulous day on Jervis Bay with sightings of another adult Southern Right whale at Greenpatch as well as our mum and calf who has moved on to Hole in the Wall. 	Tuesday 17 August 2010 The nursing mother and her calf remains in our calm waters.. she has moved only a few 100 metres to a place know as Captains Beach and is estimated at 30 metres from shore, peacefully resting and nursing her calf. 	Monday 16 August 2010 2 SOUTHERN RIGHT WHALES- calf born at Hyams Beach We are pleased to report a mother nursing a calf, estimated just 10 metres from the shoreline at Hyams Beach. Southern Rights are extremely rare and to have mum nursing a newborn calve is extremely rare. It is estimated that the East Coast population of Southern Right Whales is as low as 30. 	Friday 16 July 2010 As the weather conditions continue to improve with the days getting longer and warmer, the whales seem to be a bit more relaxed. Out of a total of 8 humpbacks sighted, 2 of them came inside the sheltered warers of Jervis Bay to 'The Docks' for a bit of rest for one of the very large female.
