The 2006 Whale Season has come to an end...... AND WHAT A GREAT SEASON IT WAS ! We think it was our best season to date ! The most satisfying aspect of the season, for us here at JERVIS BAY WHALES, was the number of repeat visitors that we had this year. The word is spreading that Jervis Bay offers some of the best whale viewing up and down the east coast of Australia. We were amazed at the increased number of mothers and calves who took refuge right inside Jervis Bay on their long trip back south. We were lucky enough to witness some of the playful antics as both the calves, and the fully grown adults, lunged into the air, breaching multiple times, as if they knew they were putting on a show for us. Whilst the whales are gone for another season, we hope that you can find time to visit us over the summer and see our resident dolphins in action amongst the pristing beauty of Jervis Bay. Visit us at DOLPHIN WATCH CRUISES ithe original cruise company in Jervis Bay. We have been taking people out to see the dolphins and the scenery in Jervis Bay since 1990. We hope that you can join us over the summer and be sure to ask us about our SUMMER TWILIGHT BBQ CRUISES...... the best way to enjoy what the Bay has to offer ! |

| Whale Season - 2005
2005 was by far our best season to date. We saw more whales, in better conditions than even our most experienced skippers can remember. The southern migration was particularly spectacular with frequent visits from the returning mothers and calves, right inside the bay. We look forward to another successful season in 2006 and look forward to see many of you back again, and of course, the many new faces that we expect to see. |

| 2005 - it just doesn't get much better than this
It was just one of those seasons when everything fell into place. Great weather, lots of whales and an ever increasing awareness of these magnificent creatures. As you can see from the picture, it was just a matter of cruising out into the middle of Jervis Bay, switching off the engines, and watching as the whales frolicked in front of us. See you all in 2006. |
